Papaya Dog in New York City

Very popular street cart hot dog place. Papaya Dog uses a unique combination of toppings on a nice all meat Nathan's hot dog on a toasted yet chewy bun that holds the weight of the ingredients. Worth the wait and the trip to Rice village. Cool outdoor seating area just across the street.

Food is good..staff friendly and professional

pretty darn good hot dogs ! Fast service and very affordable. I'm originally from Texas and must say this hot dog is the best i've ever had.

Same delicious dogs they've always had! Only difference now is that they're $2.50 instead of the dollar they were in the 90's. But I know NYC cost of living is increased, so it's not a bad price. They still sell small fruit juices for $1.30... Can't beat that!

This is the on the go place to get something to eat. They sell hot dogs, burgers, fries and many other things to eat. Their prices are reasonable, small fries 99 cents, two hot dogs and a large coke for $5.99.

Before there were any fancy diners in Chelsea and food trucks in meat packing area, there was only papaya dog and mamone for hungry club goers at 5 in the morning. Long live papaya dog!

You really get what you pay for here. The selection is slim but that's fine when it's 3 o'clock and you just want a hot dog. However depending on whose working be ready for a real taste of NYC. Would be 5 if they weren't rude.

These guys who work here are sexist pigs. They only serve to half naked women. The staff is also extremely rude. I’m never going to do business with these human filthy pigs ever again.

Ordered a cheese steak and it had barely any cheese, like I don’t think they even put a slice on there, so I went up and asked if they could put some more on and they tell me it’s gonna cost extra?? Are you kidding me, extra for a tiny bit more cheese to make it an actually cheese steak is bs, would not recommend.

Grilled hot dogs and sugary tropical flavored drinks. Great when your looking for a cheap quick meal. They also have burgers, corn dogs, fries.

The perfect amount of bite and flavor. It was pretty slow around 6pm, which was perfect for me. Service was fast, no frills. I asked for a chili dog and fries; I got 2 dogs with (brown?) mustard and ketchup. No regrets. Wrapped in aluminum foil, this was a better option for the commute home. I'll have to come back for the chili and cheese tho.

Fast and Fresh! Great dogs, even better knishes!! Open late and perfect for the munchies after a night of fun! Been to this location for lunch and late night and each time both the service and the food were excellent. Easy access location, perfect for quick pick up on the way out or back home!

Had a philly cheesesteak with fries not much flavor but black pepper and the workers were pretty rude.

For a 24hrs spot the staff attempts to clean on the regular, it's a spot to go at anytime for a fast bite weather hot dog (famous beef), knishes or burgers.. as busy as it gets the staff is very fast and at times ready before you know just what you want.

Nice for a quick snack on the run

Yummy as always when you are looking for something quick to eat. Or if you are facing possible hangover without food in your stomach. You drop by share some laughs and get a hot dog.

It's a reasonably priced Hot Dog. But hey, it's a hot dog. Clean enough for a Hot Doggery. Have two!

They were pretty tasty. I just asked for 4 hotdogs and not exactly sure what was on them. Tasted like sushi sauce. I took two my friend took two but we were both only able to eat one. Eyes were bigger then our stomachs. I've been trying to make it to get one of these hot dogs since I miss the ones in NY so much and it's taken me over a year to finally make it. Def would go back. Oh yeah there was a line.
